Our next Fire Safety Seminar - Autumn 2014
Following the fatal fire at the Rosepark care home in which 14 residents died, the British Standard BS5839-1 was reviewed and amendments made which have a significant impact on fire safety management and the provisions for fire detection, warning and evacuation in some residential care premises.
Amongst other things, these amendments affect who is responsible, the type of fire alarm detection installed, the summoning of the fire and rescue service, remote monitoring and zone plans.
The seminars will address these and other issues that will allow care home managers and owners to understand these changes as well as ways to reduce costs and avoid time wasted by false alarms and system faults.
